Entry 1
What do you think of Public Display of Affection (PDA)?
For me, I neither agree nor disagree of it. If it’s between parent and children, then it won’t raise any issues because some acts like hugging, holding hands, and kissing their children are normal act of showing their affection. But, if it’s between unmarried couple, it has to be in a certain limit. Holding hands might be fine, but hugging and kissing is not suitable to be display in public because it might bring negative impressions from public since our country is an Islamic country as well as Asian country which are famous for their well-attitude and politeness toward each other. I’m not saying hugging and kissing are not polite, just that it’s not suitable with norm in our country.
Define love:
Love can change sadness to happiness. Love can bring hope to those who in despair. Love can unite people. Love can’t be seen but can be felt. Love can bring salvation. Love full of forgiveness. Love is equally
important as breathing.

Eternal Regret
Tenth grade
As I sat there in English class, I stared at the girl next to me. She was my so called
"Best friend". I stared at her long, silky hair and wished she was mine. However, she didn't look at me like that, and I knew it.
After class, she walked up to me and asked me for the notes she had missed the day before and I handed them to her. She said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her but I'm just too shy and I don't know why.
Eleventh grade
The phone rang. On the other end, it was her. She was in tears, mumbling on and on about how her love had broken her heart. She asked me to go over because she didn't want to be alone. And so I did. As I sat down next to her on the sofa, I stared at her soft eyes, wishing she was mine. After two hours, one Drew Barrymore movie and three bags of chips, she decided to go to sleep.
She looked at me, said "thanks" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her but I'm just too shy and I don't know why.

Senior year
The day before prom she walked to my locker. "My date is sick" she said; he's not going for the prom. I didn't have a date and in seventh grade, we made a promise that if neither of us had dates, we would go together just as "best friends". And so we did. On prom night, after everything was over, I was standing at her front door step! I stared at her as she smiled at me and stared at me with her crystal blue eyes. I want her to be mine, but she doesn't think of me like that, and I know it. Then she said "I had the best time, thanks!" and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her but I'm just too shy and I don't know why.

Graduation Day
A day passed, then a week, then a month. Before I could blink, it was graduation day. I watched as her perfect body floated like an angel up on stage to get her diploma. I wanted her to be mine, but she didn't notice me like that, and I knew it. Before everyone went home, she came to me in her smock and hat and cried as I hugged her. Then she lifted her head from my shoulder and said, "You're my best friend, thanks." and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her but I'm just too shy and I don't know why.

A Few Years Later
Now I sit in the pews of the church. That girl is getting married now. I watched her say "I do." and drive off to her new life, married to another man. I wanted her to be mine but she didn’t see me like that and I knew it. But before she drove away, she came to me and said "You came!". She said "Thanks." and kissed me on the cheek. I wanted to tell her, I want her to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love her but I'm just too shy and I don't know why.

Funeral
Years passed, I looked down at the coffin of a girl who used to be my "best friend". At the service, they read a diary entry she had wrote in her high school years. This is what it read -
I stare at him wishing he is mine but he doesn't notice me like that, and I know it. I want to tell him, I want him to know that I don't want to be just friends. I love him but I'm just too shy and I don't know why. I wish he would tell me he loved me!
I wish I did too... I thought to myself and I cried.
I Love You!
P/s: If you ever love someone, just tell them. Don’t keep it inside until the last minute or else you will regret it.

If...
If I were given a chance to live or even to rule the ancient city, I would choose to live in Chichén Itzá. Compare with Machu Picchu, Chichén Itzá have a strong and stable economy power. They even built a trading port to trade resources from other region inside the North America. Well, what else is good about it? How about trying to compare their level of civilisation with other ancient cities? The Maya people can be considered as genius compare to others because of their astronomical and mathematics knowledge which can help them to build a strong nation. They even invented their own calendar similar to the solar calendar that we currently use now (consist of 365 days a year). When I said it’s a strong city, it really is a strong city. Located in the middle of dense rainforest suitable to lay traps everywhere in the forest, enough to cut down half of the enemy force. The Maya were trained to become a deadly soldier armed with war knowledge and great weaponry to kill any intruders that try to conquer their city. Aside from that, their sacrificial ritual really gives a strong impression toward the mentality of their ruler. Its reflect a strong leadership of their ruler by infusing the ‘fear’ in his people’s mind-set so that, there will be no betrayal to his kingdom. Well, personally, I like to rule people with fear because only with fear we can be brave. Only by knowing ‘fear’ we can develop and grow to become a stronger and matured person.

T.H.E PROJECT
(The Human Evolution Project)
Nowadays, each of us human always has this ‘little’ something that we never satisfied of about our self. We always whine about how weak we are, how hopeless we are and we never stop comparing ourselves with other. But then, what if in the future, there will be solution for all this kind of question? What if human can achieve the perfection? There will be no suffering, no more disable people, no more sickness, or perhaps no more death? Sounds impossible? Well yeah, we are talking about future after all.
My solution to this is Nano-machine. This Nano-machine is equipped with the 3 processors and a hard disk specializes to copy and encrypting the protein cell data before transforming the protein cell. To make it simple, just think of it as a scanner, you scan a picture and the picture will appear on your computer desktop and you can edit it before you can print it afterward. So basically, that is how the Nano-machine works. This Nano-machine is specializes to accelerating the transformation of protein cell. Why protein cell? Proteins are large, complex molecules that play many critical roles in the body. They do most of the work in cells and are required for the structure, function, and regulation of the body’s tissues and organs. In other word, protein cells have the biggest role in human evolution. If we can evolve the protein cells, the other cell also will evolve thus making us, human evolve into the next stage of our evolution. That is the job for the Nano-machine, created solely to accelerating the transformation.
So, in the future, you won’t be surprise if there are human who have a hard-shelled skin, strong body, immune to disease, and even can fly or go beyond the average human limits. Is it impossible? No. We are talking about future here. If I’m not the one who succeed, there will be others who will follow my trail to achieve the human perfection.

Video
The video that I have watched was about an honourable man. A brave and strong man that doesn’t even know the meaning of giving up, that man is Nick Vujicic. He has inspired me in many ways especially in living my life to the fullest without regretting or dissatisfied of being imperfect in every aspect of my life. He taught me that even if you fall hard and failed so many times, don’t mean you have to give up but instead you have to try it again and again and again. I can relate his situation and what he felt with my situation. I am too was bullied and mock because of my appearance and because of my family. It is a normal human behaviour to get jealous or dissatisfied of others especially when they are wealthy or born in a famous family. I was born in an educated family and been living with my 2 famous sisters, famous for their intelligence and their attitude. They always represent the school for any competitions that involving the brain and they are the stop student of my school. As their brother I am proud to have famous sisters as part of my family. I thought everyone would love me as much as they love my sisters and I thought that I would gain the respect from others as much as my sisters had. But then I realized that I’m still far-fetched from being known and respected just like my sisters but instead I’m being compared, bullied, and ostracised by my classmates, teachers and other students. Sounds great huh? Well yeah, I know I’m not the same with my sisters. They are nice but me? I’m mischievous, short-tempered, and I was a type of person that always looks down on people just because I’m living in a well-known family. I was bullied because of my nerdy appearance and because of their jealousy towards me because I always get all the attention from teacher and again, because of my sisters. For 3 years I have been leaving in a shadow of my sisters and in a pain of being bullied because of my family. I started to change. I started to hold a grudge on every people in the school. Instead of following my sister’s path, I’m paving my own path to make my own name in that school. I have become more violent toward others. I didn’t do any homework but instead I fought with every teacher. Endless motivation and counselling are given to me but all turn to nothing. I have become a rebellious student. I have become that kind of student until the end of my form 4 year. Just before the year of 2011 started, I have been thinking of what did I have achieved from becoming that kind of person? The only thing I have gained was hate, disappointment from everyone and I’m losing all the trust from everyone. No one believes in my capability. Actually, I never knew the real reason I’m doing all that. In fact, until now I’m still looking for the answer. When people started to turn their back on me, only then I realized that I have done wrong. I have become lonelier than I was. Seriously, what I have done? Until now I don’t even know whether people still treating me the same or I’m still treating them all the same. That is why, after leaving the school, I’m embarking the new journey to find my real path. I have fall hard to the bottom of nothingness and now, it is the time for me to climb up and regain my fame and respect from others. I have failed my family and now it is the time for to get things back to where it was or getting better. But then, I have realized that I don’t have to be like my sisters, instead I can get well known by my own effort and by my own talent. I have realized that no one is perfect and never be perfect. That is why I am thankful to God for every blessed that He gave to me in my whole life. Thanks to Him, I started to found myself although there’s a lot of challenge and obstacles ahead of me that I need to overcome in other of becoming a true and worthy being.

COMEDY SITCOM: MIND YOUR LANGUAGE
My favourite character in the comedy sitcom; Mind Your Language is Jeremy Brown portrayed by Barry Evans. He holds a B.A Hons from University Oxford. He is the teacher for the subject English as a Second Language. He is known as an optimistic character as he stood up for the challenge to teach the students since the previous teacher driven insane by the foreign student in the same class. He found it hard to handle most of his students especially Juan and Ali since both of them always misinterpreted of what he has been saying. Lastly, he has been proven to have a strong will as he last longer than expected by Ms.Courtney.

My Super Power!

If I could have a superpower, I would like to have a power that can literally “take” other’s power. Simply to put it like this; by having physical contact with other power user (obviously there is never be one superhero), I could absorb their power and make it mine. That’s mean I could have more than one power. The reason I want to have this kind of power is because sometimes superhero also tend to misuse the power they have. So, I want to play a role as a Judge by judging them. If they misuse the superpower they had, I will take it from them permanently so that they can have a deep thought of what they have done. By having this kind of superpower, maybe at first I would freak out and misuse it. By realizing my mistakes, only then I can correct others by correcting myself first so that no one will repeat the same mistakes. Maybe I will be everyone enemy because I am the power stealer and yet, I would not allow any unjust to happen because even if there one unjust thing happen, it could ruin the entire community.

The Last Entry
Class D080127 of Reading, Grammar & Vocabulary 2 subject conduct by Ms.Vaitheswary or generally known as Ms.V is the best class I ever attend throughout this second semester. Since I always have a lot of interest in English and I was very grateful that the fun and excitement in this class always meet my expectation of every English class. As a class representative, I am honored to be given the chance to represent my fellow classmates and I was very happy to have classmates that really enjoy and having fun while study (although sometime it’s too much). That kind of study environment makes us feel less stress and relax while studying. There is a lot of unforgettable moment happening in this class especially when we are acting for an advertisement to promote a daily product. My team really done well but it’s kind of funny when I forgot what I supposed to do when Donald interrupt me while acting. At that moment I already got into my character and I supposed to take Masanijah’s hand and take her to the center but then I suddenly lost in my own drama and feel shy to do that. The last class of ReVoG 2 was so great and a little bit sad. While others are delightful to know that it is the last class, I on the other hand feel sad to meet the end. There’s a lot of fun things we have done so far and I wanting more of it. All in all, English is always being my favorite language and subject aside from Korean and Japanese. Last but not least, it’s great to meet you all especially Mas and Ms.V. And I would like to thank Ms.V so much for the great learning time we had all this while.

                                                                    PDA

Public displays of Affection (PDA or PDOA) are acts of physical intimacy in the view of others. What are acceptable displays of affection vary between cultures as well as to time and context. Which acts are acceptable have also varied over time. Displays of affection in a public place, such as the street, are more likely to be objected to, than similar practices in a private place with only people from a similar cultural background present. Maintaining eye contact can be regarded socially and psychologically as analogous to touching in some cultures.
In most of the Western world, such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, it is very common to see people holding hands, hugging and kissing in public. In nightclubs, it is also common for people to "grind" (a form of dancing) or dance closely.
In Latin America, Italy, France or Spain the practice of teenagers gathering in public parks to kiss, caress or even have oral sex has caught the attention of United States media, strikingly because of the lack of political content in this "sexual awakening".
In India, public display of affection is a growing phenomenon, although stray incidents of police harassment of couples were reported in the past. However, relaxation of previous generations' social norms has made public displays of affection more common among India's younger demographic.
Public display of affection is a simple way to broadcast to the world your love to your loved ones. Depending on how you present it to the public, it can be seen and described as genuine love, parental love, and lust or disgusting by the people. PDA is good but should also have limits to some certain things and area/ location.

                                                                  LOVE
Love is an emotion of a strong affection and personal attachment. Love is also said to be a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection —"the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another". Love may describe compassionate and affectionate actions towards other humans, one's self or animals.
Love refers to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from pleasure ("I loved that meal") to interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner"). "Love" may refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of Eros, to the emotional closeness of familial love, to the platonic love that defines friendship or to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love, or to a concept of love that encompasses all of those feelings. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, compared to other emotional states.
Love may be understood as part of the survival instinct, a function to keep human beings together against menaces and to facilitate the continuation of the species.

                                                            LOVE STORY
She's From:   United Kingdom
He's From:     United States
She and Clayton met via AOL Instant messenger back in 1999. They were friends for a good year before they became a couple back in early April 2000. They finally met in person in August 2001.
                                                     NATALIE & CLAYTON
It was an early morning of August 6th, a sharp ringing woke her up; she stumbled for the phone on her nightstand.
“Hello” she answered in her sleepy voice
“Hi baby time to get up and catch a plane” she smiled and woke up slowly, knowing that soon she would be in the arms of someone she loved so much. She said goodnight to Clayton, and got ready for the long journey ahead of her. Her sister Sarah was picking her up along with her mother. She’d never flown before, and this was such a major step for her to take. Flying half way across the world, on her own to meet someone she’d never met before. And what made it worse was that she had to change flights in Copenhagen, she was taking a big risk.     But she knew she’d be all right somehow she just knew everything would be ok. Although the   other part of her was literally terrified, scared that Clayton wouldn’t like her once they met and vice versa too.

After a 2hr drive with her mother and sister they got to Birmingham Airport. With mixed emotions she checked her luggage in. She looked down at her watch, 10am less than an hour and she’d be flying. She sat in the cafeteria with a Luke-warm coffee; she looked over at her mother, who was watching the planes take off. The look in her eyes told her that she was so excited for her. And from that moment she knew this wasn’t a dream; she was actually going to be boarding her first flight in 45mins. A tear started to roll down her cheek, she felt scared and alone. She cried even harder as she leaned over and hugged her mother tightly.
“I don’t want to go now.” She sobbed. Her sister smiled at her mother and said “I thought you’d be in tears before her” she wiped her wet eyes and took a deep breath her mother said.
“Look you can do this, you’ve been looking forward to this for so long. It’s a chance of a life time to go to the States, you’ll be fine.” She smiled and hugged her tightly, tears from her mother started to fall, but yet she didn’t realize that what she had just said made her feel warm and happy inside.
Finally her flight was called; she slowly walked over to the boarding area. She hugged her mother and sister. And gave her passport and ticket to the man standing there, she turned round and waved goodbye for the last time. Tears swelled her eyes again as she walked through to check her hand luggage. She walked down the corridor into the boarding lounge. She handed her passport and ticket, and she walked down the long tunnel and onto her first plane, bound for Copenhagen. She sat there with her seatbelt fastened she watched the ground slowly disappear, and then quickly replaced with sky and fluffy white clouds, it was amazing.
She arrived in Copenhagen a little lost, but somewhat excited. She found her next flight easy, so much easier than she thought it would be. In fact she got there an hour earlier than she was supposing too. Time went by and she handed her passport and ticket to be checked, she walked onto her second flight bound for Seattle. A 10hr flight later and she walked off into Customs, the line was long, and she slowly walked over to a booth where her passport was stamped. Yap, she had a stamp on her passport! She slowly boarded a Transit Train, which took her to collect her luggage; she didn’t know where to go from there so she stood still. She noticed everyone going up the escalator in front of her. She walked a little to the escalator and she saw a familiar face, Clayton was standing right at the top. She walked on and watched Clayton move towards her, as the stairs moved to the top. She smiled and tried to speak but she couldn’t her mouth was so dry and she was so tired. He handed her a single red rose and she smiled, as she smelled the flower.
“Mmmh, thank you it’s beautiful.” He caressed her cheek and said “No you're beautiful, come here I need a hug.” He wrapped his arms around her tightly, and tingles ran through her whole body she smiled, as they held each other for a good ten minutes it was perfect. Finally she was with the guy she had fallen in love with, he raised her chin and kissed her deeply. As they kissed, their first kiss, she knew that things were just as they should be.  They collected her luggage and walked back to his car, the atmosphere between them was   amazing. She couldn’t stop giggling and he couldn’t stop holding her hand. All the fears she had at the very beginning had vanished. She knows Clayton loves her for her and she love him for him. She wouldn’t have it any other way.
The whole 2wks were the best of her life every day was perfect, he made everyday all the more special. Especially the day when they went on a Cruise to Victoria Canada, he proposed with a gorgeous engagement ring, and she accepted. She knows Clayton is the one she is truly meant to be with and share her life with to the full; it’s funny how it all started over an IM 6years ago. They got married 6 July 2004.

                                                                  IF...
If am to choose to live in lost cities I will definitely choose Macho Picchu because;
It is located 7,000 feet above sea level and nestled on a small hilltop between the Andean mountain Range; the majestic city soars above the Urubamba Valley below. The Incan built structure has been deemed the “Lost Cities”, unknown until its relatively recent discovery in 1911. Archaeologists estimate that approximately 1200 people could have lived in the area, though many theorize it was most likely a retreat for Incan rulers. Due to its isolation from the rest of Peru, living in the area full time would require traveling great distances just to reach the nearest village. So for someone like me who loves travelling, such place will be an ideal place to live and explore.
More so, the agricultural terracing and aqueducts take the advantage of the natural slopes; the lower areas contain buildings occupied by farmers and teachers, and the most important religious areas are located at the crest of the hill, overlooking the lush Urubamba Valley thousands of feet below.
However, Hikers, tourists, and the early explorers describe similar emotions as they climb their way through the Inca Trail. Many call the experience magical. Glancing out from the Funerary Rock Hut on all the temples, fields, terraces, and baths seems to take you to another time. Blending in with the hillside itself, many say the area creates a seamless and elegant green paradise, making it a must for anyone who travels to Peru.
What could be more magical than seeing the natural beauties of the world from high altitude? It would make me understand the natural beauty and acknowledge God the creator of heavens and earth.

What did I think of PDA(Public Display of Affection).
PDA is a bad thing that ever I think. it is not the right permission by other religions, especially Islam. For other religions, it is common to people of other faiths. Displays of affection in a public place, such as the street, are more likely to be objected to, than similar practices in a private place with only people from a similar cultural background present.  Maintaining  eye contact  can be regarded socially and psychologically as analogous to touching in some cultures.  In Malaysiait will invitedisadvantages or controversial to others if it should take place in public places. For other countries, it may be common his example of the United StatesGermany and etc. This is because there aredifferences in religion that prohibits this in show at public places. In the age of globalization, mostpeople in malaysia assume this is normalThis happens is a factor likely to influence from foreign cultures or from satellite technologies such as the Internet and other.

THE PROJECT FOR FUTURE...

I will create a tool for the future is a watch. I would watch that copyright is shaped like a watch that has been in existence at present, but has a unique function can also detect the position of a place, in other words "GPS". in addition, we can make voice calls and video calls directly. in other words, it also serves as a mobile phone. in addition, the watch is fitted by the media such as music and radio. there will be a source working as a toy in the form of batteries but does not use a lot of energy and does not need to charge every time and it lasts 10 times longer than a battery that has been in existence at present. These watches will function as normal watches, it also serves as a standard modern cell phone people use. This watch also has an emergency tool like can contact the relevant authorities such as police stations, fire stations, hospitals etc. with fast, easy access. Lastly, this watch will give self satisfaction everyone wants to have.

If I was given the opportunity to invent something, I will invent something useful for everyone as build circuits to street gangs and prevent accidents are often caused by street gangs. I want to design this because there are many young boys who abused and will cause traffic congestion and inconvenience to people around. I especially do not like to see this street thugs inconvenience their parents and the public because they are not indifferent art. own safety and that of others, they know just made happy on the road without considering the safety of others. I understand the feeling of those who want to race like on television, but they can not afford to pay to use the circuit. So I was free to design this circuit and we all would not worry about the problem of street gangs and other road disaster.

Video Nick Vujicic

I have watched the video of this about a man who did not have his hands and feet as well as a strong-willed and not easily admit defeat, he is Nick Vujicic. He was very inspiring to me and my life that were previously only knew despair middle of the road, after I watched this video touched my heart with his lifestyle even though he was not perfect from perfect in terms of physical but mental. He greatly influenced a lot of people around with his way of life, Nick Vujicic also taught me the meaning of patience and do not easily succumb to what we are facing over the years. I'm very proud of him can live like a human being and now he was married .. I am also pleased with the story of his life that is not easily deterred when his college-age life often bullied until he wanted to give up but he was gritty and continue to succeed to graduate in the field of accounting. I can imagine how I place him, of course I can not handle it all like him now, I would kill myself. I remembered during my study in Cheras in accounting course, I can not do it until I drop the subject and go into other areas that interest me more. I feel sorry to leave accounting because if I continue, of course, now I was in the examination room and take the final exam. Now I get up and forget all his past and move on to a new book and will not repeat past mistakes again.

What i know about Public Displays of Affection, a.k.a. PDA, its come in a variety of form .This the romantic in me that feels likes to see such sincere displays of affection. the good its:

Holding hands - You can't go wrong with hand holding. It's a classic, old fashioned way of showing you love each other

I love You - It's perfectly acceptable to say those three words in public. I Love You. People like hearing it, and it will make your partner feel secure that you are able to say it in public.

Hugging - Nothing wrong with a nice hug. Just keep the hands above the beltline, and show to public you very love each other

its way you show your love to public , but must care and respect

THE PROJECT FOR FUTURE

If I am given an opportunity or the resources to invent something new, I would invent a time machine. Yes, a time machine is the one that can travel against time and take you to the past.
The reason I would like to invent the time machine is because I'm very interested in physics and and according to it when we can travel faster than light we can go to the past.I like to read a lot of science fictions.I got the idea from it and would like to work on that idea and develop it.Since nobody yet have been successful in inventing one.
Being a history major I would like to travel back and really see all that I've learnt in college.I think that a lot can be learnt from the past.We all know dinosaurs are extinct but no one knows why.we can also know about the evolution of the earth and the reason to many natural factors which are still not know to man.
Since we know about a lot of incidents we can try to prevent them from happening. For example we could try and stop the titanic from sinking , the september 11th incident from happening or least we could have evacuated the building. Thus stoping a lot of misfortunes.
I think for the above said reasons the time machine will do the human kind a lot of good

What Do you Think Of  Public Display Affection

Public Display Affection (PDA)

In moderation, and in the right venue, they're fine. Assuming that one half of the couple isn't leaving for a two-year deep-space mission, I'll say that any PDA beyond the hand-holding, arm-around-the-waist, closed-mouth-kiss type is out of order,
Extreme PDA -- hands under clothes, deep tongue kissing -- just makes the couple look incredibly immature or, possibly, drunk. In other words: keep it PG-rated, kids. Don't do anything you wouldn't want your mother to see.In another words "Right place at the right time"

Define Love
The most spectacular, indescribable, deep euphoric feeling for someone. Love is an incredibly powerful word. When you're in love, you always want to be together, and when you're not, you're thinking about being together because you need that person and without them your life is incomplete

A love story

When a prank on fellow high-school student Clay Gephardt goes wrong, popular but rebellious Landon Carter is threatened with expulsion. His punishment is mandatory participation in various after-school activities, such as the drama club, where he is forced to interact with quiet, kind and bookish Jamie Sullivan, a girl he has known for many years but to whom he has rarely ever spoken. Their differing social statures leave them worlds apart, despite their close physical proximity.
When Landon has trouble learning his lines he asks Jamie for help. They begin practicing together at her house after school. At first Landon is only using Jamie for her help with the play, and treats her coldly when his other friends are around. But as he spends more and more time with her, he is surprised to find she is far from the person he thought she was, and begins to question who he really wants to impress.
During the play, Jamie astounds Landon and the entire audience with her beauty and voice, and Landon kisses her on the stage. Afterwards, he tries to get closer to her, but she repeatedly rejects him. Soon thereafter, however, Landon's friends publicly humiliate Jamie by altering a photograph of her and placing her head on the body of a scantily clad woman. Landon angrily confronts his former friend, punching him and publicly siding with Jamie. Afterwards, Landon and Jamie begin a relationship in which Landon dedicates most of his time to her. He discovers that she has a wish list, and sets out to make all her ambitions come true, such as taking her to a state border so that she can stand on either side of the line and, thus, be in two places at once.
In the final stretch of the movie, Jamie confesses to Landon that she is afflicted by terminal leukemia and has stopped responding to treatments. Landon gets upset at first, and Jamie tells him the reason she didn't tell him is that she was moving on with her life and using the time she had left but then Landon happened and she fell in love with him.
Jamie's cancer gets worse, her father rushes her to the hospital where he meets Landon. Landon doesn't leave Jamie's side until her father practically has to pry him away. Jamie's father sits with Jamie and tells her that "If I've kept you too close, it's because I want to keep you longer."
Soon, word gets out about Jamie's illness. Eric, Landon's best friend, comes and tells him how sorry he is and that he didn't understand. Other friends come and apologize too.
Later, Jamie gives Landon a book that was her mother's filled with quotes. Landon reads 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 along with her. Jamie then tells Landon that she believes that God sent him to her to help her through her illness and that he's her angel. He later learns that his estranged father is going to pay for private home care for Jamie. Landon shows up at his father's door and thanks him before breaking down in tears as his father hugs him.
Landon continues to fulfill various wishes on Jamie's list, such as building her a telescope so she can see a comet. Through this process, Landon and Jamie learn more about the nature of love. Landon is finally able to grant Jamie's top wish by marrying her in the same chapel her parents got married in. Landon narrates that they had a perfect summer together with more love than anybody could possibly know and that she died soon after. Landon himself becomes a better person through Jamie's memory, achieving the goals that he set out to do, like she did.
Four years later, Landon visits Jamie's father and shows that he is still a better person because of Jamie by informing her father that he has been accepted into medical school; prior to falling in love with Jamie, he had no plans for his future after high school. Jamie's father tells him that both he and his mother are proud of him and that Jamie would be too. Landon tells him that he's sorry he never granted Jamie's wish to witness a miracle. Jamie's father tells him that she did in fact witness one: it was he. Carrying that thought, Landon goes for a walk on the docks where he narrates saying that Jamie changed him forever and that while he misses her, he believes their love is like the wind. He can't see it, but he can feel it .

Title: If
Petra ("Rock") lies on the slope of Mount Hor (Jordan) in a basin among the mountains which form the eastern flank of Arabah (Wadi Araba), the large valley running from the Dead Sea to the Gulf of Aqaba. It is famous for having many stone structures carved into the rock. The long-hidden site was revealed to the Western world by the Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt in 1812. It was famously described as "a rose-red city half as old as time" in a Newdigate prize-winning sonnet by John William Burgon. Burgon had not actually visited Petra, which remained accessible only to Europeans accompanied by local guides with armed escorts until after World War I. The site was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 when it was described as "one of the most precious cultural properties of man's cultural heritage." Enclosed by towering rocks and watered by a perennial stream, Petra not only possessed the advantages of a fortress but controlled the main commercial routes which passed through it to Gaza in the west, to Bosra and Damascus in the north, to Aqaba and Leuce Come on the Red Sea, and across the desert to the Persian Gulf. Petra's decline came rapidly under Roman rule, in large part due to the revision of sea-based trade routes. In 363 an earthquake destroyed buildings and crippled the vital water management system. The ruins of Petra were an object of curiosity in the Middle Ages and were visited by the Sultan Baibars of Egypt towards the close of the 13th century.
